Brick cleaner tips to remove stains off walls

Carpet Cleaners : Some great cleaning tips for gum, urine and wax:

Remove gum off a carpet

Gum is a real problem but there is an easy way to get it out of a carpet. Gum gets soft with heat like when it enters our mouths. Friction also helps to loosen it. The solution to gum on a carpet is therefoe quite simple. Remove any large chunks first taking care not to tear any strands of carpet out. The idea is to get as much off that isn't actually stuck to the floor. Then place a damp cloth over the gum. Now apply your iron over the cloth and gently rub down. The heat might not need to be full so try it on a low level first. The older the gum, the higher the heat needed. relatively new gum might come off just by rubbing a hot cloth over it with your hand. Once the majority of the gum is loose from the carpet, use the cloth to pick out the remaining bits. Give the area a wash and once it is dry, it will be back to normal.

Getting wax off a carpet

Like gum, wax responds to heat. However a slightly different method is needed to remove wax off a carpet. If the wax was to melt it would just run into the carpet even more, so we want to transfer the wax from the carpet to something else. First break up the wax with your fingers and c/arefully remove it without pulling out any strands of carpet. Then use a vacuum to pick up and small bits of wax. Now place a piece of paper over the wax and a towel on top of the paper, then apply the iron. There is no need to rub the iron, you just want to heat the wax enough to melt it. Start with the lowest setting on the iron and always use a towel as a hot iron can damage carpet fibres. Once the heat reaches the wax it will melt, and make it stick to the paper, magically transferring it off the carpet. If there is some colored dye on the carpet after from the candle, use a general cleaning product to get it out.

Getting rid of pets urine off carpets

It happens to all of us especially when we get a new puppy or kitten. Once an animal has urinated in one place they will continue to use the same spot as their toilet until the scent has been cleaned off. The key is to act fast, so that the smell won't dry into the carpet and so that the animal won't have a chance to do it again. Home remedies for this type of carpet cleaning don't work very well for urine stains because they are quite severe, pungent alkaline smells soak through to the bottom layer. It is worth buying a specialist product like Spot Shot or whatever your home improvement or large supermarket has. It is not worth the intense soaking required to get these stains out.

If you don't have access to any other products the area needs lots of water and lots of towels to soak the water up with. The idea is to rinse out the smell then soak the water back up. The water will be best with some color safe bleach in it which will attach the odour and clean the area. The other alternative is to mix the water with baking soda which will fizz away at the urine. Once the area is clean spray it with an air freshner just in case there are any traces.
